The Industry and what is involved.
A Union lather is a craftsmen who is trained in the use of tools, equipment and materials that allow him to perform a wide variety of construction jobs.
No matter which jobs Union lathers are performing, Union contractors can be certain that their Union lathers are trained and skilled in the most up-to-date work methods. Union contractors also know that their Union lathers are professionals who arrive at their jobs on-time, with the correct tools of the trade and industry knowledge. This insures that each project is completed on time, on budget and to the highest standard of quality workmanship. Union contractors have come to rely on this fact and so have their customers.
The work we do.
Union lathers possess the superior training and trade skills that are necessary to build out all the unique shapes and forms, that are commonly specified by architects in their designs and blueprints. Union lathers possess multiple trade skills. In the building of walls and ceilings, they fabricate wire or metal mesh support structures that are attached to structural members of the building and covered by plaster, stucco and perforated gypsum board. Lathing projects can include: fireplaces, partition walls, suspended ceilings and other decorative forms such as rock faces, rock walls and stair cases.
